Function & Conference Hire

The Downe Arms is a well-established venue for all your conference and event’s needs. We have 3 different rooms at the hotel perfect for hosting your function/ conference. If you would like any more information, please do contact our experienced team for a customised menu and pricing.

Our King Jewel Suite is located on the ground floor, overlooking the garden. For functions and events it can hold approx. 130 guests for a sit down meal and 150 for a party with a private bar in the room.

Our Park Room is located on the first floor (unfortunately no disabled access). For events and functions it can hold approx. 80 for a sit down meal and 100 for a party.


We have 3 conference/events rooms at the hotel perfect for different sized groups and requirements. Our largest room, also with disabled access, can host approx. 150 delegates theatre style, 100 delegates cabaret style and 30 delegates boardroom style. Our smallest room is perfect for smaller meetings/ interviews for up to 8 delegates. We also have a large free car park to the back of the hotel, so parking is not an issue. Fast, strong, and free WIFI is available throughout the hotel and 2 of our rooms have projector and screen facilities available. We also can offer accommodation and catering services if necessary, covering all your conference needs.


Situated next door to All Saints Church Wykeham we are the perfect place to hold a celebration! With function rooms that can seat up to 130 guests for a sit down meal or 150 for a party there is plenty of space available. We also have a beautiful garden area which is great for the kids!

Celebration of Life

Our experienced team also provide a sympathetic and efficient service when looking after your loved ones Funeral arrangements and we work closely with local funeral directors to help make it as unobstructive as possible.

School Proms

A good central location, great food and large function room means we host numerous school proms annually.


With function rooms that can seat up to 130 guests for a sit down meal or 150 for a party there is plenty of space available for a celebration. With a private bar, dance floor and beautiful garden area with our main function room we have all you need to celebrate!

Family Get Togethers

For family get togethers we have so much to offer, whether it be for a couple of hours or a couple of days we can cater to different requirements.


Our small function room is perfect for those smaller meetings for up to 8 people and why not come early and have a breakfast or spot of lunch before you get down to work.
